WHO'S ON THE FIELD TEAM?
THE FIELD TEAM
The core Field Team is on location for two weeks. Additional team members will include local specialists to provide extra cultural insight, translation and transportation.
Coordinates travel, gives out day-to-day assignments, liaises with local bureaucracy, handles purchasing and shipping artifacts.
A combination of translator, educator and cultural guide. Will have in-depth knowledge of a variety of cultural disciplines, including but not limited to folk arts, music, dance, and architecture.
Red Trunk Project
First Videographer shoots the interviews and assists on the production of the mini-documentaries and tutorial videos.
Second Videographer/Sound Engineer
Shoots and oversees the production of the mini-docs and tutorial videos, as well as recording audio of musical performances and ambient soundscapes.
Shoots all still photography, and helps with videography as required.
A local educator that will act as liaison and translator with any interaction with children. Somebody with whom the children will feel comfortable. (Probably a teacher or school administrator.)
PRE-TRAVEL PREP WORK
Contact will be established with educators, non-governmental organizations, translators and government officials in the target locations. These contacts are absolutely vital to Red Trunk Project for school selection, school contact and coordination, initial translating, and all sorts of introductions.
One month prior to the Principal Trip, the Team Leader, the Curator, and the Videographer will visit the location in order to:
